How do i draw on the battle field

I saw a Warhammer 3 video where the guy was able to draw on the field with some brush and i was wondering how i would be able to do that.

Is it only in replays?

I know you can hold ctrl and then click to get a unit to move along whatever path you keep holding down. But drawing I think is replays, maybe only mp mode too? There are like little palletes in one of the top corners if you can do it.

You can alter an ini setting to allow drawing at any time, usually it's only available when playing multiplayer.

Not just replays, in multiplayer, 2 players for one faction in the battle you can draw any shape with a marker from 3 colors to indicate the other player.
