No chaos rifts spawning ?
Im playing as Kislev on turn 96 and my game has not had a single story event since something about the book came up near the beginning. No other factions have any souls either. Seems like the story script has broken.

Are you even playing RoC ? (most likely yes, since you got the "book thingy" in the beginning ?)
Check your mods otherwise.

Yeah i am playing ROC, i have a few mods just unit and reskins mods, i did have an event art mod activated however. should i disable them ?

Yes.

You may need to start a new campaign. IIRC you should start getting Rift events like turn 25-35.

Yes.

Damn, i was afraid of that. Im gonna assume it was the event art mod. i doubt unit reskins would interfere.

i did actually think how nice it was playing without them. That train of thought is what made me realise they were missing lol.

Well if all factions got no souls your mods break the campaign. Otherwise there are buildings which prevent the spawning of the gates.

Yeah its defo broken. No rifts anywhere and no souls on turn 90.

Nope, i didn't touch the game again after this . My best guess was one of the mods i had for some reason messed with the story code (none of them should have)

Without mods, reloading a save the turn-end before rifts would first spawn in that cycle can delay it for several turns. But that should only be once for a given 30-turn cycle.

There are of course mods that explicitly disable rifts, and likely mods that affect it accidentally.

I didn't have the portals spawn at all with Tamurkhan - tried multiple restarts. It seemed to work fine with Ku'gath though

You shouldn't. The dlc factions have different goals and take place after the Ursin race.
