Can't settle for some reason

i have 150 hours so i know what i am doing (i would say so myself) but the button is just gray.

What is happening?

i am tomb lords, and i am trying to take back 2 of my settlements that just got razed by the beast men.
i am trying to take it back 2 and 3 turns after they razed it. but the BUTTON IS GRAY!

i got the money for it, so i am a little lost

well u answerd it yourself, its the beastmen, they probly have a herdstone nearby that prevents you from resetling

find the herdstone, destroy the herdstone, then u r golden

Upon razing a settlement beastmen can erect a herdstone which (after a ritual is achieved by razing more settlements in surrounding regions) prevents other factions from recolonizing the ruins in the area. You will need to raze that herdstone first.

Like Dagy47 and Jukelo said it is for sure the herdstone of the Beastmen. You can see it if the settlement is in herdstonerange if there is a red symbol on the settlement. If it is you need to destroy the herdstone first if you want to settle there.

Beastmen usually get wiped out so fast, I could believe someone has 150 hours and never dealt with a herdstone

I got over 300 hours and never had to deal with this mechanic or beastmen lol
