Wood Elves: Wardance Drummer bugged? Or not stacking anymore?

Hi all,

Question, I am playing a Wood Elves campaign right now and wanted to make a Bladesinger stack. I have about 5 heroes in the army and each hero has the Wardance Drummer ancillery equipped. However, the attack stat is still so much lower than it should be and when I add or remove the Wardance Drummers, the stat also doesn't change.

Does it simply not stack anymore? Or is it bugged?

I have 7 heroes. 7x4 = 28 attack stat boost. Two points in the Lord skill tree so far, that's +4 stat boost. One disciplined hero, +2 attack boost. 4 chevrons, that's +5 attack. Total boost: 39. + 5 from technology = 44.

Base attack stat: 48. (according to https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wiki/Bladesingers)

Total: 92. However, the user interface on the campaign map says 68... Am I missing something?

It seems like the Wardance Drummer ancillary doesn't stack and you only get the buff from one and not all 7. This is common where not all buffs stack, but the game doesn't tell you which ones stack and which ones don't. I hope CA does another UI update and includes this info.

Should've done the math myself but yeah, haha. Still, I think it used to stack in the past. Pretty sure I used it in WH2 at one point and can't remember ever seeing patch notes about it. Ugh, way to ruin the fun CA.

Doesn't the Drummer say Lord's Army?
It has to be Hero's Army or Own Army for a hero to affect it.

A buff with the same Name normally wont stack. Only buffs with different names stack even if they give the same. I think only specific hero/commander traits can stack if they effect the own/Lords army. So maybe this is bugged. Should work. But sometimes the numbers dont work on the campaign map. If u have the same result on the actual battle map u should put it in bug report.

yea I had the same issue. The public order does indeed stack which should confirm that the melee attack buff should stack as well. Also for me, I don't see any melee attack buff added even if only one hero/lord is equipped with it. I think it's a bug.

Public order is a different thing to the melee attack, which should not stack. The only bug there is that it's even equippable on a Hero at all.

Public order is a different thing to the melee attack, which should not stack. The only bug there is that it's even equippable on a Hero at all.

Public Order (character-to-province-own) is a valid equip on a Hero even though the MA is Lord's Army.
Young Stag on the other hand... Lord's Army Leadership but can be automatically granted and equipped to Heroes. Given how common it is, unequipping and even selling them is a nuisance.
