Games like this game.
Are there any games like this game, except you the player, not one of your lord units.

Is like an archmage, and u can use spells to smite the enemy army and stuff like that, every now and then?

Heros of might and magic is kind of similar.

Master of magic

What one? and is the battle quality the same, like zooming in where u actually see em wack each other?

If you mean like controlling one character and fighting armies of dudes, Dynasty warriors, kingdom under fire games (old af tho) Mount and blade games,

Mount and blade - bannerlord is similar but no wizardry. At least, not without mods. Amazing game though. It's mainly you the hero with a supporting group of units.

Executive assault 2 is similar but sci-fi.

Age of wonders 4 is probably as close as you get with wizards, but it's turn based.

HOMM being turn based in combat makes it quite different
also units being stacks makes it far more economy focused because no matter how much more strategic you are one hex containing 5million archers is going to outperform whatever you do with 5 swordsman

Yeah I know but op is asking about fantasy and these are the only ones I can think of that are close.

He's asking for a VERY specific genre, im just suggesting anything thats kinda close lol. Dynasty warriors empires might be right up his ally, you conquer a map with a faction. But you fight as a hero dude on the map and just rip threw soldiers.

Well there are games that are like "half" of this game, the RTS half. They are very old though. People of have already mentioned the Mount and Blade games but those are set in grounded Medieval settings. The only games that I've seen that does it in a fantasy setting is Sacrifice, but it's also 23-24 years old. You're going to have to go to GOG to get it and get a functional copy, and even then you are still going to have to jump through some hoops to get it to work if memory serves.

There isn't a game where you conquer the map but have RTT battles where you can jump into the battle yourself in third person, let alone in fantasy setting. There just aren't any games like that yet. You are just going to have put up with just the battles being like that and the game just being a string of battles with no empire management.

Guilty Gear 2: Overture.
fast paced action and RTS battles.

or, if ye look at other storefronts (specifically GoG), there's Warhammer: Mark of Chaos and Shadow of the Horned Rat.

Realms of Ruin

Yeah I'm looking for more that you can use spells, as if you're char is some archmage in a castle overseeing the battlefield through like divination or something (RP wise)

So you the player may be able to rain lightning storms down on the enemy army to help now n that.

But not now as a unit on the field yourself.

Putting it in a way you guys would understand, like being one of the 4 chaos gods and helping on the battle field from your realm whilst omnisciently watching the battle.

I'll need to look at that masters of magic, and this realms of ruin.

And maybe I could make do with mount and blade, and get mods for it to be a magician I guess.

If I do get mount and blade, what is the best one to get?

Yeah, there aren't any RTS games like that. The closet thing I could think of are God games like Black and White 2, but that game had a super weak and basic RTS component and didn't have many God Powers to begin with.

The thing about Master of Magic is that while you do have armies that you can support with magic, said battles are also turn-based, and you they are still your standard, turn-based tactical battle fair anyway, where you have to move your units around and tell them where to attack. There are plenty of other games like that too, Elemental: Fallen Enchantress, Age of Wonders 4, but again they are 4X games with turn-based battles where you can spells.

And as for Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, that's just straight up an RTS that's vaguely similar to Dawn of War 2, but not really according to people who have actually played it. And it's fantasy instead of Sci-Fi like Dawn of War 2 was (set in the new Fantasy Age of Sigmar setting rather that Warhammer 40k).

kingdom under fire is probably the closest you will get.

That's still an just an RTS which lets you jump into the action. Doesn't seem like OP is looking for games like that or Sacrifice or Brutal Legend. If that's the kind of game OP was looking for, Hell, you could throw Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War into the suggestions box as well.

Like I said before, what they seem want doesn't seem to exist yet.
