Is collision damage affected by Speed?
So could just be more noticeable due to a unit being extremely fast, but I'm finding N'kari absolutely wrecking elven infantry but just running through everything. His current speed is 159. I've played N'Kari before but he's never been as effective as he is now.

yes, speed and mass causes collision damage
think charge damage doesnt even really matter until they start swinging
i could be wrong but i think thats how it works

Speed combined with mass does I'm pretty sure.

I might be learning new things.
I thought it was charge bonus only.

Mass/speed was purely cosmetic. (Pushed models)

charge bonus is after the things have stopped flying and they start attacking
its a bonus for the melee attack, to hit and damage, for 10(i think) seconds after the charge
the damage from physics, the flying around and pushing, is speed and mass

basically speed and mass is important vs infantry
charge bonus is important vs cavalry and monsters that you will be actually punching after the charge
its slightly simplified but something like that

lets compare sigvald and festus cavalry^^

It was at one point.

Here's a blog from CA that explains a bit how it works:

Not sure how much of the TWWH2 changes made it over, but this is something I've been toying around with in TWWH3. Try winning a siege just by kicking units down hills or off bridges.

Collision damage can't occur unless your unit is attacking. No matter how swiftly N'kari kicks an elf in the face, it will not take damage from it.
But you can cause Fall damage from launching entities while they're routing or if they're thrown far enough downhill or off a cliff.

Certain attacks, like N'kari's drill or a Chariot, are much more effective with speed behind them which lets them intersect more models.

That was one of the last patches for tww2 so I assume it got moved into this game.

Fair enough, that must then be what's going on behind an actual attack order and launch threshold calculation.

Addendum: And here's what I was referring to - the complete isolation of Launching and Fall damage from Attack and Collision damage.
