Warhammer 2 Vs 3

Ive been a long time TW warhammer fan and i waited for the kinks to be worked out of 3 before buying, i have all the DLC leading up to 3, is this game worth it on sale or should i stick to warhammer 2

I am the same. But obviously without Eldyra there is no point for most fans in buying game 3. So we are better off staying with game 2 until the developer becomes wise and helpful to their customers.

Immortal empires is better than mortal empires. It adds so much more to the map, not to mention the new factions.

Not every change is for the better, and a few things are worse, but overall, you won’t want to go back to 2

Seems like the difference is campaign.

Also, some factions in 3 need warhammer 2 it looks like, so you could always get Warhammer 3 then go back and get 2.

it's worth it actually, most of the problems on release were either fixed or toned down at least.
it's not a bad game, especially if you're a TW Warhammer fan, most of the recent community complaints weren't about the game per se

diplomacy is meatier is wh3 and the map is bigger and ads more factions... cant really argue with it overall, sieges might suffer slightly in wh3, but the before mentioned improvements are superior in every way... negative rewievs seems to be about the price gouging DLC and CA's handling of the backlash, not about the game itself... wh3 is a great game. heres hoping they continue working on it.

IMO Immortal Empires beats Mortal Empires hands down, not least because it's just bigger and more of everything but also little QOL changes that I'd struggle to go back from, too many to mention really. I couldn't play realms of chaos cus i thought it was ass so stopped till IE released and when it did it was ok but not as polished as ME, lots of little things to iron out, but now? No contest.

WH2 with mods is way better than anything i can see with WH3. Really a shame, the game looks to me like some dumbed down version to make more sales

lol so why use mods on 2 then? sounds like you need the mods you want to have and whichever specific ones they are not being available for 3 makes 2 better?

I wouldn't say its dumbed down from 2 any but it doesn't innovate either, its just more of the same, bigger and therefore better if you like it, just more ♥♥♥♥ to wade through if you don't like it.

There's 0 reason to play game 2 unless you really like the vortex race.

Game 3 is superior in every other way.

There's some weird regressions in 3. Like I think the UI being all red is actually worse. I think it was easier to read various screens and statuses in the 2nd game actually.

Not sure why people are hyping up warhammer 3 so mutch.
the there are 2 reasons to go to 3: the new races and a slightly improved diplomacy.

so what does warhammer 2 the older version do beter:
- beter combat AI
- the map feels beter
- Beter AI on campaign map
- gunpowder units are can actually fire
- more field battles and not those minor settlement BS
- even the big sieges that are bad at warhammer 2 are still beter hen the "fixed" sieges of warhammer 3

but to be honest if you like warhammer 2 i think you will enjoy warhammer 3 just make sure to buy it on sale cause ALOT of issues that CA can fix but didn't in 2 years time feels like they do not feel any passion for their own project which you could feel in warhammer 2. it's kinda sad and i do hope it will come back but i won't be holdin my breath
