Is Shadows of Change Worth It?
So I know it's certainly overpriced regularly but I see it 20% off and I am a Tzeentch fanboy, I think the Changeling visually looks interesting and the description does sound up my alley though is it worth it to grab for that? Are the new units helpful too? Does the Changeling play better into Tzeentch stuff than our Fateweaver does?

Edit: Got my answer, this really did sell me on it. I ended up grabbing it and very much like the Changeling! I think there's a new infantry unit I like too, that axe one that benefits from spells being cast - I at least haven't seen it before. So far, really enjoying it! Doing the schemes will be a fun challenge too! Can't wait to see what else they add to it!

You also have a lot of mini-quests to F with all the factions in the world, which give faction buffs of varying strength. It's not a faction if you are a wind-in-the-hair, the world-is-burning player, but I did enjoy the one playthrough I did of it.

There are things I like about the new Cathay and Kislev LL/factions, but the price to value makes it one of the least-enjoyed DLC for me, especially coming on the heels of the Chorf DLC which I found very enjoyable.

If it looks fun you should get it. They are adding more content in a few months too.

Definitely not worth the price, I would wait untill they announce the new content for it, which is planned.

Shadows of Change is good if you like the races in it. Tzeentch gets Changeling which is alot of fun and adds some new unique mechanics that really make you feel like an agent of Tzeentch. They are based around spreading cults and sowing discord from within.

Right now? No. But CA have announced an upcoming content expansion for it, we just don't know what that entails yet. My advice would be to wait until at least February when that content drops, then if CA actually put a serious effort into that it may become worth the price. I can't say I'm optimistic, but I'm holding my vitriol until it's actually justified.

Only had time to play Mother O-Stinky so far and I had fun with her at least more so than the other Kislev factions.

I'd say wait for sale either way (assuming it's not on sale again ATM with the winter sale)
I honestly don't forsee it getting another sale for a bit especially with the plans to add more content to be honest.

Maybe pick it up? Worth and value are subjective though to each person. As much as some people here claim otherwise.
Ah, probably should've mentioned I know about the announcement they're adding new content to it but that alone isn't much to go off especially since it is on sale now while we know only what it currently has. The advice has been helpful so far! I think I might grab it but will wait while I reinstall the game (had to do some winter cleaning and figured I'd reinstall)
the animation work in general is pretty great and CA made some promise they will add more stuff to it, guess when it happen it will have the same discount
I'ved played enough of this game already (over 600 hours), but I probably would greatly enjoy Jade Dragon's starting position for launching campaigns against the Old World

Oh I did play a bit of the Cathay dragon. The lord himself was alright but didn't really feel worth it to me on that end. The crowmen are niceish addition but I really wasn't a fan of the Jade Lion you start with and likely by extension the other Jet Black Lion too. They feel like they're made of paper for being stone constructs to me

You don't even own the base game. Go troll somewhere else.

Normally I'd say no but based on your stated tastes it does sound right up you're alley and is not likely to be on sale again for a while.

on "sale" for 20 dollars is still more than other dlcs have been right out the gate plus they were very toxic about backlash they received about it. I wouldn't support this price point/attitude and I have been buying total war games since rome 1.

value for money wise id say no. But that goes for all warhammer 3 dlc above 10 dollars really unless youve got spare money and dont really care. to me it looks like a lame recyle job for races I care nothing for.
As the games have come along you can really feel them putting in less and less effort. reused skeletons/animations, reused scripts and barely any attention to research and other important faction mechanics overall.

youd expect the prices to be lower compared to the quality they deliver.
i mean ffs we need a mod just to have reload animations 3 games into this series. It's just shamefull. I dont know where the money is going but it's not the devs.

It isnt surprising quality is lowering when youre paying almost half the average inudstry wage for devs.
Only ones that are gonna stick around will be the ones that cant find better work usually due to lack of skill or maybe optimistically if they really love total war.
