About Thrones of Decay and Shadows of Change
I just realized something.

With the way these DLCs and future ones are planned, we'll be getting one major update and units for each of the involved factions only one time for the occassion.

Only once.

It's not like in TW:WH2 where occassionally a faction would receive a DLC twice over, (Lizardmen and Skaven) we no longer get that privilige.

Expanding the content for SoC and ToD is a good move on CA's part, because otherwise we'd be stuck with half-baked faction mechanics and few units for a very very long time.

The DLCs have to be success qualitatively speaking!

Now only thing left to see is if they actually deliver on their promises, so...fingers crossed.

Are you saying that you don't think factions in WH3 will get multiple DLC's? I think you will be wrong on that.

Cathay atleast has 3 more lords coming. Tzeentch probably has another.

This community is so wild sometimes. They bind themselves up over theories and misconceptions that hold no basis constantly.

What do you mean only one time? CA already confirmed that they intend to bring all of the Cathay Dragon Children as LL into the game meaning there is at least 2 more Cathay DLCs. Tzeentch still has 2 more LLs and Kislev we're not sure since GW retconned old lore and we don't know who still exists.

Sure some races will only get one, but most of the Game 2 races are complete in roster and are only missing LLs or LHs which could be FLCs.

No, no it's not what i meant at all.

I meant as in, that by the time we get more DLCs for certain factions, a long time would certainly pass. And i don't want the game to be stuck with half baked dlcs for so long without more additions to those races.

Like, CA has to make these DLCs count!

Lizardmen only got their first dlc after a year and a half or so. There's always someone who'll be waiting longer.
If anything, doing them in groups of 3 reduces the time between visits.

Which is true, which is true.

Hopefully they'll be wise this time around and deliver a good product.

I am more than willing to wait a bit more if that means getting plentiful and qualitatively superior content for three factions at once!

There are 24 races, something like 15 'base' races, depending how you count bretonia, DoC and WoC.
Yes, it's going to be a long time until individual races get each new DLC. Some like vampire coast or woodelves, might never get a new DLC.
Of the base WH3 races, i'd expect they'd each end up with ~2-3 DLC, with most other factions getting at least 1 more, but ones like lizardmen already have a completely bloated roster, and might just get a rework with no DLC.
