Herdstones are absolutely indefensible against ranged factions (due to passive AI, simply rushing with all they've got would have worked much better), and your rattlings have infinite ammo. Whether Morghur leaves garrison or not, he can't win this fight, as long as you simply advance slowly. If he leaves, then you will need to win a field battle against him after the herdstone. Not that much an issue either.
They rely less on range(compared to other Ikit weapon teams) so the beastmen stalk is overall less of an issue.
Use fodder units to make enemies bunch up for a little while, then nuke the blob with spells and your firepower.
In fact, this tactics works against most factions.
1. Ally with them or form non aggression and keep expanding northwards
2. almost same as above but instead you let them be a buffer zone between you and the fay enchantress (great in short term for ez taking over the south, long term bad cuz bretonnian knights are good against most of your ranged). This is honestly what i usually do as skryre.
3. If you wanna wipe em out I suggest waiting. As bad as early game beastman inf are yours is still worse. Yea, you COULD waste a nuke, a bunch of food, or your early game starting army, but that is NOT WORTH IT.
4. ignore them and wait till the mad cow disease feels behooved to stampede through your lands. Its a boar to fight, and udderly annoying at that. I dont recommend it because theyll milk your lands for all their worth and hog it all for themselves. Its a little known fact that they are the g.o.a.t of the game. I wouldnt upset them because they'll have a cow. If they have beef with you than you're in for a bad time. Again, if you mess with the bull you'll get the horns. I'm hoping you get the pig-ture by now. When they're done with you you'll need to call a ham-bulance. You'll have a baaaaaaaaaaad day.
No pun intended of course. :)
