Ku'Gath campaign sucks and blows
Being harassed by 3-4 factions that can spawn 3-6 army's each while you can only field one really, really sucks lol

I guess papa nurgles playing a silly joke by starting you off in an area where it takes 2 turns to get anywhere near another town >:C
Like, what am I missing here? whats the hook?
Should I just flat out abandon starter island and try B-line for empire territory, sacking everything in my path or sail off into the sunset or something?

I really like my one, singular army. its really pretty and has strong units. I wish I could field more than oNe of ThE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THINGS! *rips out hair* hahahaha

You're not really missing anything idt, Kugath's campaign is NOTORIOUS for being dull and frustratingly slow. Doesn't help that generally, Nurgle as a faction just seems devoted to wasting your time to do things other factions could do just so much quicker or in a way that's way more fun.

I figured it out!
What I needed to do was hit [Esc], quit to main menu, delete my Ku'gath campaign and start off as literally anyone else xD

I think im going to try Greasus.. His gigantic gold ♥♥♥♥ and 75 ogre armys have been plaguing me for about 50 turns, it must be fun.

Seriously though, do you think CA did this so they could sell future DLC's? Nurgle units look so cool and he seems like hed be really fun to play if you could generate more than $5 every turn haha Im a huge Nurgle fanboy so it feels wrong to up and abandon his campaing but I just cant handle chasing ogres/china/Chorfs/DE Pirates and whoever else just happens to stop by.

tbh idk, idk what's intended and what's actual mistakes made from what's likely the execs not giving CA devs enough time to actually implement ♥♥♥♥ well.

nurgle is always going to play slow at the start
its how nurgle does
cant really complain the faction follows lore if your a nurgle fan
you start with the sniffles before you get the bubonic plague
Adamsevs Nov 29, 2023 @ 8:24pm
When you play Nurgle focus on upgrading your starting province and don't bother with the others until you are comfortable enough. (just build trading ressource buildings which increase hero cap thought)
With only your main province being favored, you'll have good incomes from all your sacking left and right, allowing you to field a secondary army.
Field mostly nurglings in your armies with heroes. You are forced to play efficiently for the 40 first turns with blobbing nurglings, spam stream of corruption (nurgle lore) and sniping heroes/lords with your own lord and heroes in the blobs.

You can also use mods who makes the faction better obviously

I had fun with it, though it was a year ago. Most fun was making these Pest cultists that obliterated dozens of armies with their plague before they reached my towns. :D Slowly and steady, like Nurgle loves it.

Yeah I like that it plays differently to other factions, variety is the spice of life. There are other factions I don't get on with at all but are still popular.

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll make big changes to Nurgle when ToD drops COPIUM

Shame you don't enjoy the playstyle that comes with Nurgle.
If only there were other races that cater to the playstyle you want.

I mean, I absolutely hate how Vampire Coast plays. Same with Sisters of Twilight. Oxyotl etc. Any faction that relies fully on ranged unit's.

Doesn't mean I complain about it on the forums. I simply opt to not play those factions.

Build your starting province before you build others. Abuse infections every turn by swapping units between armies - 2 times per army. Unlock the special plague Nurgle's Rot by turn 13. Sack every settlement with Kugath and occupy with another lord. Unlock special plague which grants 100% sack income. Nurgle is a sack faction. Don't bother defending your trash settlements which you sacked 5 turns prior. Send a plague cultist to cripple invading armies instead. Deal with them later. Try to fight enemy armies outside of settlements when possible - this will net you 100-700 infection points post-battle (hint: you can do this on the starting lizardmen faction... they recruit a crapstack of skinks...abuse this.)

Nurlge is very easy and I can't wait for it to be even more busted with DLC

Imo Kugath is all about not getting bogged down by Ghorst and thats Ghorsts speciality.
KoboldUtopian Nov 30, 2023 @ 1:42am
It's a shame you don't enjoy Kugath's campaign, there are like 90 other ones you can try instead.

But yes you are missing something. It's that Nurgle plays differently than other factions. It's slow to start and then gets very strong. Yes everything is expensive early investment but then it's free. You can get a hero spam army going faster than pretty much anyone else if you want. Kugath is one of the strongest lords, especially early game. Plagues give horrific debuffs to your enemies, And you start in a very defensible spot.

You actually don't, though. The Bubonic plague is not like a flu that just progressed further.

After work ill have to give him a retry. I was just angry that I wasted 4 hours of my precious free time chasing big fat friggin ogres, rolling all over my precious towns hahah

GRESUS!!!! You town stealin, money grubbbin, time wastin, nurgling rustlin, back stabbin, cake eatin, garden raidin.... ahh nm hahah

I was focused too much on expansion then. I was thinking if I had 70 of the +$5 buildings id be better off than just repeated sackings.
Like, Nurgles units are really strong, I beat every army I actually faced, it was chasing every one of them that drove me insane. Llike friggin fighting hydra or something haha You kill 1 army and 2 more appear to raid your gardens.

It took me 4 hours to plant those gardens and some big, jolly fat guy rolls in and steals all my carrots and tasty taters. >:C

Well, Soon. Soon™ the ogres are going to get whats coming to them, I tell ya! Muahahahha

Oddly enough, ghorst wasnt a problem for me. I absolutely wiped the floor with him. It was those friggin ogres, DE pirates that took over china and the chaos dwarfs that, out of the blue, decided to break their non aggression treaty and attack my lands... mainly ogres though. Im adding ogres to my personal book of grudges, for sure xD
