Of course, you still have to manage to get enough favor to use them.
DP needs no buffs, he is what he is, a novelty act. Good enough.
I recently tried them in IE twice and both times I quit out of frustration.
Body part mechanics aren't impactful, economy is non-existant, you don't get technology benefits, buildings take waaaaay to long to construct (and expensive af), you don't get access to decent daemon units until like mid game resulting in you using unbuffed trash units for a really long time.
I had him lose to a freaking generic lord of change in a melee fight, using a mix of khorne and tzeentch body parts. That's when I ended the campaign.
Nurgle or Khorne in the main settlement (10 of them lets you reduce recruitment times on their respective units), and Slaanesh everywhere else. Tzeentch in 1 minor for early horrors. Slaanesh cities give the most money, and Slaanesh corruption adds another 10% or so.
I specify nurgle or khorne main settlements because nurgle grinders and khorne chaos warriors into minos is pretty much a right click auto win stack.
Edit - and Undivided dedication obviously so you can get access to both minos and nurgle grinders.
I think a create a lord mechanic done right would be bossier than bee knees.
But I think it would be best served as a fixed starting capital that is a blank slate along with a comprehensive system to create any kind of LL you can dream of using the pieces and parts of existing LLS in the sense of mechanics and skills.
It could be done, and if done right, would be amazing AF.
But all the demon factions got crap tech tree's that do not enhance their troops well.
The only success I had with him was spamming khorne warriors of chaos with blue and purple demons. But unfortunately it is very very expensive.
