What 3 DLCs would you recommend?
Right now I own:
Shadows of Change
Blood for the Blood God III
The Grim and the Grave.

In this Sale I wanted to add 3 more DLCs to my roaster. Hope for your advice.

Personally I'd go for;

The prophet and the Warlock.
Call of the Beastmen.
Realm of the Woodelves.

Honorable mention;
The warden and the Paunch and Champions of Chaos.

i think u already picked the bottom of the barell with those 3, now u can only go upwards, any dlc u can get from now on will be superior

i dont rly have time to write complete tierlist, but to keep it short IMO best ones would be
-Rise of the Tomb Kings
-Vampire Coast
some that i find fun
-Prophet and the Warlock
-The Warden and the Paunch
-Twisted and the Twilight

Chaos dwarfs pack is fine too i guess, just a bit pricy

It really depends on what factions interest you. But for me, The Twisted & The Twilight was good (both the wood elf and skavin factions added in that were fun). The Shadow & The Blade was good for similar reasons. And Tomb Kings is probably my favorite overall race pack.

Honorable mention: Either Warriors of Chaos or Champions of Chaos. Both add several warriors of chaos factions, and since that race got a massive overhaul in game 3, they're a lot of fun (and Champions of Chaos will add its factions to both the Immortal Empires and Realms of Chaos campaigns).

Probably would not recommend Norca. When it came out, the norscans were one of the most interesting factions, mechanically, but that was a long time ago and they haven't been updated since, so now norsca feels underpowered and under-designed. Not terrible, just not as good as the rest.

Depends on the Races you like to play. If you hate their theme, you wont like their dlc.
I kinda enjoy the more evil ones more.

Prophet and Warlock is my favourite because of all the stuff added to the Skaven.

Warden and Paunch is a great steal if you like orcs.

Champions of Chaos, because of how much stuff chaos has, and how metal they are

If you enjoy the undead, both the tomb kings and vampire coast are fun. Though the latter suffers from the power creep of never factions

- Prophet and the the Warlock (both were fun to play)
- Warden and the Paunch (I hate pointy-ear-sh*t.....and Grom was a delight to play with)
- Rise of the Tomb Kings (!!!!!!!) any and every faction!!!

But my absolute personal fav is 'Call of the Beastmen' ^^

edit: Grim & Grave is a very good pick! Volkmar is super-nasty......can't remember the other benefits.....but a guy on a wagon that can solo whole undead armies?
(Beastmen & Khorne tend to get boring....as it's ROFL-stomp *sry for l33t-speech....after you can recruit a certain amount of your real core unit; like Bestigors......or Khornes thrives in whatever)

Thanks everyone. I tried Ostankya recently but failed and failed again. Not enough money and 3 factions attacking me pretty early in the campaign at the same time.

So I will buy Prophet and the Warlock, Wood Elves, Rise of the Tomb King and Warden & the Paunch.

Thanks everyone.

I'd say Grim and Grave is one of the worst, but hey, on the bright side it means the only direction you can go from there is up.

Good picks, pretty much what I would recommend as well. Those ones and Tomb Kings. Honorable mention to Vampire Coast.

And remember: there ain't such a thing as man-sized rats beneath the tunnels :)

Ikit Claw is sooooooo awesome, it's literally the best DLC next to Tomb Kings

edit: ?? the hag DLC is rather boring?? but whatever.....snipe/stalking xbow-units might be OP ......

on a weird sidenote: I tank with spiders, while my ambushers all have stalk/snipe ...... spiders get a DoT and are rather tanky. even the little ones.....though I was busy playing Pharao, so i dunno what got changed if any.

If you want the most bang for your buck then I would pick
THE SILENCE & THE FURY and THE TWISTED & THE TWILIGHT
And then ether RISE OF THE TOMB KINGS or CURSE OF THE VAMPIRE COAST

Buy Shadows of change 3 times :steamhappy:

Can't really tell you tbh. Just check them out and see which ones have the units and lords for the factions you want to play. Thats what I did, started out with the Lizardmen getting all their DLC then moved on to Beastmen, Dark Eves, etc.....
Imperium Nov 25, 2023 @ 6:42pm
Shadow of change is by far the worst. But the one I enjoyed the most was Vampire Coast and Champions of Chaos, it combines difficulty with fairly different gameplay. Coast lets you have horde type ships with upgrades and pretty fun units, champions of chaos lets you be an unstopable force, coruption everywhere, very strong units, ability to vassilaze your victims... possibly funnest chill type of gameplay I had.

Wood elves are awesome too, but you have to kinda like that type of lore to enjoy it fully. Long campaign to capture every tree is tiresome and there is some issues with confederation between different woodelf factions.

Tomb kings are in similar boat, you gotta enjoy playing wide and like desert skeletons.

Beastmen are pretty great horde faction as well, nearly impossible to loose the game though, makes it a bit dull.

Rest never appealed to me as much, I played them all but it was not too memorable.

Remember there are also a ton of amazing mods that add far more than DLCs, you should check out most downloaded and highest rated of all time, unfortinately recent patch broke some, but I am sure modders will correct CA's usual fakups.

EDIT, forgot about rats, they are quality wise best DLCs. CA gave rats a ton of love. Still didnt enjoy it as much as Vamp Coast or Champs.

Bro, you own literally the worst DLCs in the entire trilogy.

If you want something good buy a race DLC like chaos dwarfs, vampire coast or tomb kings. You know, the best bang for your buck. Pick a race you think is nice and go for it.

Vampire Coast
Rise of the Tomb Kings
Realm of the Wood Elves (Durthu is awesome)
