FYI, here’s site I use to check on games:
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_games_that_support_high_dynamic_range_display_(HDR)
Weird, swore was on that list but looks removed or misremembering from another site, but ya it works for me, think since rome 2 all total war games support auto HDR, just don’t have it natively in engine like Cyberpunk or Realms of Ruin for two examples I’ve used it in recently.
Plus the tinkering with reshade is fun but when i get one scene to look good, another is all out of whack.
I'll probably just stick with HDR
Ya same here reshade is cool, used it to good effect tons of games in past, but it can be pain to get going right, and sometimes can cause issues too.
To me, if game supports auto, or native HDR, use that. Reshade is for old titles which do not. Like Stalker Anomaly, great for that to spruce it up a little bit for an old engine. Or, obviously if you don't have a HDR compatible display, ya, reshade all day every day then.
Not to mention stuff like "game mode", at best it seems to do nothing.
