Strategic threat
sucks.
Why would a faction with 3 or even less cities declare war or work it's way towards declaring war on my 50 city empire simply because I'm a ''strategic threat''
It should be the exact opposite because in warhammer you get crushed if you don't play along...

Also, strategic threat should not simply be a meassure of how many cities the player has but more how many troops they have close to or closing in on the border with any given faction.

Strenghtrank=army power, not towncount.
Its a simple attempt to make it more difficult by drowning you in wars. It can overwhelm some players, but funds the rest.

No, siding with a foe because he's powerful isn't any better, confeding with friends is, but players cried about that.

If you wanna get rid of it entirely. Haven't tested yet properly if it works or not, but only one I've really seen that ONLY affects it and nothing else.

I'm saying this because it makes no sense and is weird. The difficulty aspect of it doesn't really matter.
I want to keep woodelves safe just for the sake of it but can't unless I keep giving them money they end up not using so all factions get wiped off of the map because of strategic threat.

Makes sense to me. It's basically them looking at you and thinking "hey, that guy is getting awfully powerful from conquering people, maybe we shouldn't trust him and perhaps we should even try to do something about him before he's even stronger"
