Unreal seems ill suited for what TW needs.

And jumping right into another Warhammer Fantasy title after the completing the promised trilogy seems.... ill advised.

the next game does need a new engine
unreal probably not the best and it also shouldnt be a warhammer
they will probably need to build their own engine since there arnt really other games like this, so no engines properly made for a game like this
thats going to be expensive, but it will be worth it in the end
just need to convince the investors

Where did you even get the Info for a Totar War Warhammer 4? They only have the License to make a Trilogy as stated long before the 1st game was released.

also what can a 4th game possible add?

at this point we pretty much got the entire world ingame, with only a few islands remaining, something that can't really justify a new game even if it was possible for them to make a 4th warhammer game.

But i just meant in relation to fantasy. There wont be a "warhammer 4"
There could be a Warhammer: 40.000 or (god forbid it) warhammer: age of sigmar game, which are standalone from the 3 fantasy games.

Honestly the way things are going it may be a blessing that things ended where they did with this game. I love total war but the future is uncertain.

well if they lost their own programmer who responsible for coding their own engine, then might as well use UE5. And if new title uses UE5, it will be no surprise. They have little choice left. Whatever the next title. It decides their survival as a business. Just gonna sit back and have popcorn.

CA had a deal with Games Workshop to produce a trilogy using the Warhammer IP.
Neither of them have given any indication things had changed in that regard, so there's no reason to believe a fourth game is coming.
