How to get ALL DLCs without paying a fortune?!
You heard me. Current cost is over $250?? Even with some discounts I believe...

Ideally getting the complete edition of the game should not require paying more than $50... Why is this game becoming like the Sims 4?

Will there ever be a discount? Seems like I missed the last one... But it was probably just 20-35% off which is far from enough lol...

You don't need all DLC.

At this point the cost effective method is buy Warhammer 3 and you get access to the giant map, no extra payment. Then buy the dlc as you go. The game is actively (sort of) supported.

Once you learn the game, then buy dlc. There's no point in having all the DLC if a) you don't enjoy the base game experience, or B) don't want to play those races.

Yes, it's expensive if you buy it all in one purchase but that is counter to how you should buy these games. You should only buy the races that you want to play - it's no pokemon and you don't need to catch them all.

Someday, I was unaware about the WH1 until I see the discounts WH1 as base and the DLCs were 75% off so I give a try with base game for $15, after of playing with this and I fell in love with that game and I decided to buy all DLCs for $40, so it's $55 after all. It does the same with WH2.

yeah, they are every couple of months. the wh1 and 2 content goes down a lot more than the new stuff does.

Shop around.
Use sales.

It's really not that expensive if you have an ouch of self control.

Buy the base games first, only add what you want.

When i bought the game everything was 75% off - that was for WH2 with all DLC.

I had less discount when i bought WH3 though as it´s newer.

But if i were You - i´d wait till the winter sales anyway. Not only for the discount, but for some patch, as it´s a AAA price for a game, which only looks like AAA, but isn´t quality wise. It´s playable - yes, but the amount of issues and bugs which are always in Your face makes it seem like there was never anything which can be called QA, or beta testing - or one guy who thinks about QoL stuff when playing the game.

If You desperately want a game like this - get WH2 and 1 - and these DLC. It´s still not cheap for a game, but the amount of replayability is good. That game solves the QoL side of things better, even if not perfect - while some new features are missing, but that´s mostly about alliances with the AI, or things like settlement trade. And then get WH3 when it´s also on sale completely - if You´re interested in it.

On steam the DLCs (older than the newest 2-3) will be 50%. WH1 is 75% off, Wh2 is 66% off, WH3 is (for now) 40% off.
There are also (sometimes) bundles that will result in a slightly bigger discount compared to buying each stuff piecemeal.
isthereanydeal.com will allow you to track multiple authorised resellers that will occasionally give better discounts than steam - 60-70% off on DLCs or ~80% off WH1 and 75% off WH2.

Just get them on discount periods.

Plus, considering the DLCs are all about additional races and factions, just get the ones you really like first.

Maybe watch some youtube videos about a faction you are particulary interested in before buying.

I preordered Vampire Coast and Tomb Kings instantly after seeing their youtube trailers, because I love undead factions.

I got chaos warriors and beastmen for 5€ each on discount just for the sake of it, but after a whole lot of gameplay hours I haven't even tried them yet.

Stay out of casinos, bars and strip clubs.

You can only play one campaign at a time, and a campaign can run you a long time, so if you can't control yourself and wait for sales, just buy the ones for the factions you're playing.

If you don't know when it goes on sale, it may be a good idea to put the games and dlc on your wishlist so you get an email when it's on sale, and get on mailing lists at other places you buy keys.
