Three Kingdoms is VERY good!

I just bought 3K and i find it SO good. Trully recommend for you guys, whose just like me, is waiting for some patchs.

PROS
Campaign mechanics: 10/10 Nice familty and court stuff, nice buildings and many other nice things to pay attention.
Battles: 10/10 Very nice duels, cavalry charge, audio in general, units responsiveness, very good battle maps (huge open fiels), formations and many other stuff.

CONS
Complexity - Takes time understanding because there are a lot of different stuff.
Unit variation - No flying units and monsters, off course.

Sometimes, i just feel like it is an improved and newer total war than WH3 in many aspects. Kinda funny because wh3 is newer.

PS: I think it's a better game than troy and pharoh.

I know this is about WH3. But i think A LOT of people is just waiting for some patches and i think this is a good game to take a break.

I 100% agree, but can't condone supporting CA in any way right now. Their management wont stop fking up and neglecting WH3 until they have to.

It really had a lot of good improvements over WH2 that I'd hoped they'd utilise in WH3 :/

Fav was probly playing as Dong Zhuo (defeat him in battle to unlock his faction.) Or playing as any faction- and then you adopt Lu Bu and arrange an untimely death for your starting leader.

I think this is about supporting a good total war game, not a saga expensive reskin **** like PHARAOH. But i do understand it.

Sadly they never bothered fixing some of the most blatant imbalance issues because they abandoned it, and the DLC for the game is mostly terrible because it adds nothing to the actual 3k ERA.

High lvl catapults with a good general will delete an entire unit in 1 volley half-way across the map. I've had battles where my general with catapults rout an entire full army before contact is even made in melee. They are way too accurate.

Repeating xbows are also completely busted. They are like Irondrakes in function, complete massacre once they go online.

High-tier units are a complete waste of resources and take too long to replenish. By the time they recover you would have recruited a new army because you won't have enough bonus replenishment when taking new towns and cities. I've also never seen the AI recruit imperial troops so you don't even need them.

Coulda been a fantastic game, especially for someone like me whose been a Dynasty Warriors junkie since PS2 days.

EDIT: Also, WU is utterly busted as a faction if you ignore the "story" and just let the other main factions duke it out and conquer the south. You'll have 4 times the income and territory before anyone even looks at you funny and the river means you're completely impossible to invade.

It's more about the company's actions lately. Has been revealed by plenty of sources that most of WH3's profits went towards needlessly expanding CA and developing Hyenas. This is while WH3 has been in need of some serious TLC, (like for it's entire existence.) All management decisions by people like Rob Bartholomew that are 100% disconnected from the game + fans.

But forget them, you should try Lady Zhurong if you have her, because tigers! Also if you get the elephants with the drums they go in tune with the music, it's pretty rad.

Ignore the haters, 3K is plenty of fun. CA trying to copy Paradox produced some pretty decent noble house and government systems. Once again- all stuff I thought they'd find various fun ways of implementing in WH3 as 3K was out in 2019 :S

Yeah I really enjoyed 3k for the 500 or so hours I played it. It just could not compete with TWW2 with regard to battle variety and by that point I had enough of it.

Game was far from perfect but IMO the sieges, diplomacy, and tech trees were all handled much better than this series.
