the game crawls on HDD
there is a difference yes
A good SSD mostly effects the load times in this game rather then the turn times.
true i have load game screen for often 5 minutes (on campagin charg, after battle, more like 1 min 30) but i have a turn time of 55 sec, it is that okay ?
No. It is not. I am assuming those 55 sec on turn timer is with fast-forwarding everything. The load-times before and after battle should be fairly short, all those times just watching a loading-screen adds upp pretty quick. And imo even with an ssd they are longer than whats okay.
For WH2 and 1, my SSD was good enough, about 30s max.
In WH3 my SSD doesn't cut anymore. It generally takes 1 - 3 min.
I bought a gen 4 m2. Waiting the delivery. Plus some extra ram and ♥♥♥♥ like that.
ssd speed:
the time for load can be 10scd on ssd vs 90scd hdd... the ssd is 10x more important than a graphic card on this game.
After the latest update my game takes roughly 15 min to go past the first logo-screens, then im down to 10-15 sec on loading everything else. Its a bit weird & really annoying.
even on ssd ?
Yes. Something just broke for the game, no other game have sudden issues and its only when booting up the game. I have had the game for almost a year and it was fine until the recent update.
This is even more annoying than Attila that has a habit of sometimes crash on startup but even that gets on with it after a couple of tries in normal pace (normal problem for people)
Everything runs better on an SSD over HDD. Better yet get an NVME.
The answer therefore is YES
what is an NVME ?
It´s simply more data transfer. To the graphics card, and to the RAM. HDD would be okay if You play simple games on 720p or something, but even those would benefit from an SSD. And NVME is a protocol for SSDs.
Reason is the RAM doesn´t store data - it gets rewritten every 7 nanoseconds. Also SSDs don´t have the problem, that they´re disks, with faster and slower parts the more they´re towards the outside. And You have no problem with fragmentation, and files being all over the place, which takes time for that head to move around, besides the general faster reading and writing speed.
