Can someone give me the rundown? I'm a bit late to all this stuff and I only have Total Warhammer 2.

Rob Bartholomew, a dread lord of Nurgle: The Bearer of Pestilent Dominion, The Virulent Avatar of Desolation and Master of all Mortal Doom and Ruin.

He is/(was?) the "chief product officer" for CA. At a time when plenty of TW WH fans were sick of CA neglecting the game for other doomed ventures CA released a mediocre DLC for much more than it was worth.

Rob then thought it was a good idea to chastise the community in order to placate us. Issued a tonedeaf message lying about the reasons for the price increase, can probably still find it somewhere.

Huh, I see. Is he also the reason why the music in the Warhammer games falls flat, why the daemons don't have cool reverberation effects for their voices and why their deaths aren't too spectacular, and other strange reasons why the art is often mediocre or otherwise clear that the artists are being held back or nah?

I presume he greenlit the Alien: Isolation game which was a pretty damn good horror game.

No idea, but as CPO I'm sure he helped steer CA into the crap it's in now. Directly lying to the fans didn't help with the WH3 situation for them.

He was the guy telling CA to ignore the criticism and ride it out. Now that he's gone their just banning peeps and locking threads.

People fail the realize he had a big say on how and what CA has been doing for the last 10 years or so. In an alternate reality we would be playing empire 2 ATM and waiting for the release of med 3.
