I practically blanked on wh2 after I had my fun with dragons and evil elves
It was supposed to be winter 2023 so sometime in December but it's possible it'll be pushed back a month or two.
me: uhhh so do you want a non-aggression pact or trade?
The Empire: THE EMPIRE!! (offer declined)
they need to make that imperial authority mechanic not suck so hard
A lot of provinces have their own local traditions and faiths, like in Talabacland I think they had more Elven nature worship going, and in Middenland of course they envisioned the wolf as their protector. I forget some of other locales, maybe in east the faiths of Kislevite people seeped in to some extent.
In any case, it'd be neat if there was that uniting spirit at work somehow in the Empire factions. Maybe not all Lords would tap into it as heavy, or even one would go for more Wolf Lord (*cough*the bringer of Todd).
Other than that in game one I really liked that I had to learn how to use the gun units as compared to other archer/xbow units. The trajectory seemed to matter more, and I liked the playstyle. Maybe it's better now, But the heavy restriction in game 1 felt right and rewarding to learn and master.
Maybe the faction they add could be kinda focused around militias or a militia system where the faction isn't great in melee but heavily focused around gunpowder units and ranged combat and holding the line with extremely sparse and rare melee units, or some kind of pike and shot focus for the militia boys
