Beastman army cap
Playing a beastmen campaign for the first time and currently working my way to a domination victory.
You can buy army capacity with 1500 dread, which is not a lot this far in the campaign. This option is still available in the menu, but when trying to recruit a new lord it's now at 30/30, which is a bit weird.

If there is a hard cap like this, grey out the option to buy new army capacity from that point and warn players in advance there is one.

Or increase the dread needed to purchase new capacity like the units, which is more in line with other factions having to work for more armies. I've had well over 30 armies on my last skaven domination campaign for instance, but even 1 army was a big upkeep hit due to supply lines.

30 is the hard cap. And sorry to be “that guy” but I think that’s plenty.

I love Beastmen and I’ve never gotten to 30 to wipe the entire map and burn the world. I usually self-limit to 8 or 16 bc I’m a theme and kinda-lore guy. Except when I’m defending a herdstone, then I’ll pop down one more then disband after.

I agree that you can do just fine with fewer armies and I'm fine with that cap of 30.

You shouldn't however be able to waste dread after reaching that hard cap.

Beastmen don't have upkeep. We do not need 600*64 minotaurs running around ;)

Was this patched out? I only see upping the herdstomes and upgrading new lord levels in the upgrades tab!

honestly theres soo many problems with beastmen that i wouldnt recomend playing them, they need bug fixing and qol improvements for sure

I mean I enjoy them personally, even with their flaws. I was just curious if they had patched out the buy armies option?
