Chaos Wastes too safe?
In teh lore, the chaos wastes are supposed to be infested wif spookeh stuff that chaos champions prove themselves against. :doge:

Yet, in-game, they’re empty, aside from a handful of factions dat start der. :monsteroof:

Der should be little roaming armies of chaos monsters dat periodically respawn in the wastes. :donpug:

Heck, CA already created the rogue army system, so everything we need is already in-game, it just hasn’t been put to proper use. :winter2019saddog:

Dark Fortresses should be something you need to actually build. Like you start with a DF fundament and then have to pump souls into it to make it "grow up" into a proper fortress. And I'd make it so that upgrading your settlements and units also always costs souls in addition to gold. It makes no sense that WoC have a perfectly self-sustaining economy, they should be heavily encouraged to create shindig.

Army stacks of max-leveled Chaos Spawn and minor daemons spawning in the Chaos Wastwes, would indeed be cool, and Lore accurate.

I disagree that armies should show up out of the blue. This sort of thing is never enjoyable to play with because you can't ever adequately prepare for it short of turtling everywhere.

I'd rather have it work like the Wood Elf forest incursions where a marker shows up that denotes an impending invasion.

I think a warning marker a few turns in advance is a gud idea, thank you for suggesting this! :steamhappy:

Funnily enough, it occurred to meh when I was typing dis up dat Hotseat mode might offer a sort of bandaid fix for this problem.:PugDJ:

If they made the Kurgan Warbands area have something like that it'd be neat. A chokepoint where armies spill out into the chaos wastes or towards the Great Bastion.. Maybe give Vilitch a campaign mechanic to ally with them since he starts right there.

This is why I was saying in another thread that they should implement the maps and some of the mechanics from the Realms of Chaos campaign.

At the moment The Wastes feels like just another spot on the map.
its pretty much full of the spooks already since its fill to the brim with chaos factions, they are just weirdly chill with you walking around their turf, they should be more aggressive especially if you are not chaos yourself

Well, there being way too many pacifists is a problem with the game in general.

Maybe we can add the Flaming Seats of Khorne to the game to make the wastes more dangerous
