I have enough of all these update after update. It is effecting our mod and campaign.
also in some cases old saves still works fine, it just warn you that "it might be broken"
This. I'd rather see substantial updates than keep suffering in an obviously broken game. Now, granted, it shouldn't have been this bad from the start, but it's worth restarting a campaign every now and then, as long as they get their **** together and fix it. Besides... their updates are so glacially slow that finishing a campaign (or five) between updates shouldn't be a problem.
And mods is a non-factor in this entire discussion. CA is not forcing people to use mods, and are not obligated in any way shape or form to adapt to that either. Updates break mods. That is a thing. That has always been a thing. And it will never change. Luckily most of the popular mods gets updates within a few days after a patch, so... also a non-issue.
Also the patch roadmap have been clearly stated, so starting a campaign a week or so before that patch drops is just generally peoples own fault.
If you revert back will the mods work again or do you have to wait until they are updated but if they are updated for current version will they still work?
Therein lies the problem; Your campaign save will work. But if the mods you're using gets updated to the newest game version they probably won't, unless there is several versions of the mod in question. So you have a reverse problem there. Most mods only keep up to date with the newest game version, unless they make legacy versions.
One of the reasons I mostly use graphical mods and not game changing ones.
