As for OP thread, try little mod from Wolfy called Bring Boys Home, it makes the war mechanics more logical and fun to play with, it is compatible with everything.

The hell is your problem? You're a sperg. No wonder the AI attacks you, you probably don't even know how diplomacy works.
AI favours attacking the player.
AI will more likely attack the player if they sense weakness.
AI is stupid, can't be trusted but can be abused.
Auto-resolve can leave your armies weakened resulting in AI seeing your faction as weak and thus declaring war on you.
Fighting anyone, affects the relationship of multiple nearby AI factions and changes their feelings towards you over time.
Things are a lot more manageable when I learned to not rely on autoresolve as much and come out of battles without butchering my own armies. It still gets a bit crazy sometimes but once the snowballing begins this stuff becomes a bit irrelevant anyway unless you make a huge mistake somewhere.
Yeah, he's one of those people. I really don't understand what is up with all those individuals posting their Ls online, then acting mad that people call them out and laugh at their incompetence. Maybe... don't post stupid things? It's not that hard.
It would be bit more dynamic and real if they have particular sets of reason, i.e., they are strong, they want to expand and we are in their path; we are the threats to them so they preemptively do so. And it would be much better if AI can see they are in the disadvantage and seek for truce. I hate to completely wipe out a faction and expanding like crazy.
All of this is already the case. The computer opponents have personality traits and affinities which dictate their behaviour towards you on top of the normal relation modifiers.
No opponent is going to mysteriously declare war on you, you will always know why if you look into it.
Not true at all. Yea the wood elves will declare war on the empire (me) over Skaven or VC? Lol clown shoes.
Also if this is 'Total War', then why did they backpedal Chaos being instantly at war with order factions?
Why AI never fights on 2 fronts if one of those is YOU?
Ofc you are the center of attention. Because you are the player. Have you actually tried the game with mods that take that away? The game becomes boring by turn 30. The game is complete nonsense without the "anti-player bias".
If the game is too hard and the AI kicks your ass then the difficulty settings are too high. It's so easy to just decrease them until the player has reached a competence level on which harder difficulty levels are viable. But obviously people want to play on L/VH, be bad at the game but still rock.
With this i feel nice when play faction that is evill for everyone, but feel awfull when play good guys, or someone who neutral with neighbours. Too much stupid things.
My problem is that it burns me out. How people find 3 fullstack fights per turn as fun before turn 20 is beyond me.
If you want to make it fun then give my Ikit Claw unlimited nuks
Unnerf my Manfred's wind of death
Make Arkhan's life lich deal 5k damage per cast BEFORE greater conduit bonus.
Make artillery as accurate as archers.
Make fights last less than half an hour.
