im standing on a bridge and yet everytime i fight its a normal field battle. did they get rid of bridge battles?

yes. if you encamp at a bridge you get a narrow pass"bottle neck" map

This might be the only game I have that removes content after release. I thought I was just missing out on settlement battles.
