Chorfs and Realms of Chaos

I was trying to play a RoC campaign with a friend but it said the Chorfs were unavailable. I have the DLC but my friend does not. So can I not use dlc factions if he doesn’t own them?

Weird, I’m curious, try IE and see if you can.

Just guessing now but I wonder if can even coop a portal mechanic campaign and chorf campaign due to them being entirely different scripts etc, regardless of purchase. Had they already selected a faction?(edit: or guess were they hosting be better Q, sorry I don’t coop myself, so little lack of reference here)

I was hosting, and he hadn’t chose a faction yet. Maybe they are off of separate scripts entirely like you said. Was under the impression they were just added to RoC normally, just with a different objective as everyone else. I haven’t tried them out in RoC yet and wanted to show him what the Chorfs could do. I also can use them in IE with him. So your script theory seems likely.

From experience, the Chaos Dwarfs campaign completely eliminates the chaos portals spawning into existence after turn 25 or 30. It's like the whole battle against Belachor doesn't even exist. Every faction is still in the same place, but the realm wars don't happen.

If I had to guess, I'm betting you can't mix and match those factions because it would break whatever CA did to rush out the DLC.

In the coop lobby click on the game settings, and uncheck realms of chaos victory conditions. Chorfs now enabled.

Ok. Thanks for the answer. That’s pretty disappointing imo but w/e. I have other factions I want to play too.

ahhh ya, k, it's totally a conflict issue with two campaigns then. Cos ya, chorfs outright disables all of that ish'(poking around in scripts now that finally done work for the day)
