When do you stop a campaign?

Title? Do you usually paint the map, just do the long/short objectives, or just kind of play till it gets too easy?

Personally I just play until I realize I've snowballed to the point where nothing can realistically stop me. Usually about 50-80 turns in, if I'm number 1 in power and no one can realistically stop me I get bored.

i usually play until i get too big and spread myself too thin
was squeek and had pretty much the whole mountain range and a bit of a few provinces on the way to cathay then i got my door kicked in by archeon

Usually when it's boring/too easy. I wish there was more to do when you get big. Internal conflicts, dynamic quest battles, etc.

If I'm enjoying myself, I go for the long victory, often the endgame crisis in this game. If it's proving a bit of a grind, I go for the short victory.

Then there was my first Kislev campaign in RoC, where I lost when another faction won :p
