Warhammer 3 on Steam, but 1 & 2 on EGS

Hello! I just realised that I own Total War: Warhammer 1 & 2 on the EGS, if I install these would their factions transfer over to the Steam version of this game?

Unfortunately no,
Your steam version will look for the DLC/Games that your steam account own.
You'll have access to Immortal Empire, as it is now available to every owner of the third game, but you won't be able to play any of the factions that are not in the base TWWIII game.

Furthermore, you don't need to install the content of the two previous game to have access to them in the third opus, it's solely based on what your steam account owns (either game or DLCs)

No. You got them through EGS promotion to lure players into buying game in their store. This wouldnt work if You didnt have to buy it on their store, would it?

Steam had Warhammer longest so its lure are the fact that you probably have it on their store.
Microsoft has warhammer in gamepass so you will never obtain it as a freebie in MSStore.
EGS gave WH1 and 2 through different channels and now expects you to buy game 3 to actually enjoy it since WH1 and WH2 support is dead.

There are no freebies in life.

yep. giving WH1 and WH2 away for free, then "forces" you to buy WH3 and all future and past DLCs on their store since now you already got the 2 other games there.
