Is there way to tell which mod is causing my games to crash?
I played 1 game with 0 mods, and played to about 150 turns with no crash. I then played another game with 30-plus mods, and it crashes every game - usually 1st or 2nd turn. I recall the old Kaedrin's mod manager had a function to detect incompatible mods. But I don't think the CA's version has one?

If you use the CA manager you have to activate them one at a time to find the culprit.

Additionally, if you suspect it's between a few mods check the mod pages for them. They should say if they have compatibility issues with other mods.

One at a time method is really time-consuming though - especially when you have over 30 mods! ;)

I will check the mod pages first, I guess.

It is time consuming. I use about 40-45 myself so I feel the pain :(

These days I try to only use really simple mods to avoid crash issues at updates

Yeah, I can imagine updates would cause chaos. I will probably go modless the first week of DLC.

yeah, most of the mods I use still work even when they're not updated.

also to op, one at a time is the only method I know of. I recommend the reverse though, slowly shut mods off one at a time instead of turning them on one at a time

It's a process of elimination. Also sometimes unsubbing from a mod won't entirely remove it from your game, so you need to manually deal with it. wh3mm is really good and helps a lot, far better than the base mod manager

What is even worse is when you go through the process with over a hundred mods and then find that it was none of them. So, coffee and a long night to figure things out, and next step.
