manual save on legend is a MUST

you can't do manual saving, and it only saves on endturn and continue siege, this means if it shuts down for any reason at any other time you have to redo everthing back to the last of those.

this is really dumb and frustrating when you are doing a lot in a turn. especially in super late game where turns can easily take 15minutes just on campaign map.

I think you mean how dumb are you? The only difference with legendary difficulty is specifically the lack of manual saves. You chose that mode, now you're complaining.

Isn't the whole point to prevent people from reloading a save and making their decisions have weight to them so they can't just quick load when things don't go their way.

If you don't like it just play on very hard and use the camera restrictions that legendary has and the achievements that require high difficulty's all trigger on both very hard and legendary.

Its called legendary because you cant save. If you could save it would be called very hard... so just play very hard

but if you want to do a vanilla run without slowdown etc. it is problematic. though for me this is properly more my style i mostly wanted the boons the enemy gets from legend ^^

i realised how annoying it was after a few crashes and then having to shutdown halfway through a turn bc real life stuff, resetting everything to before the turn.

Because Legendary is actually harder than VH, AI cheats more. Maybe people don't wanna play with ironman but wanna play on highest difficulty possible with saves.

Agree to the point that is painful to lose a campaign due to corrupted save, happened more times that I can count since shogun 2. I learned the hardway to make a copy every so often so I don't lose the save. Now to be manually able to save is debatable

The only changes legendary has over VH are higher penalties for public order and a bonus for the AI.

The other changes are not being able to save and forced battle realism.

That's it, you lose out on nothing but your Epeen if you pick Very hard over Legendary.
