Do i need all 3 warhammer games installed to have all factions in the giant map?

I am curious because these 3 games all together are huge and wondered do i only need warhammer 3 installed but have all other DLC and warhammer games merely purchased but not installed for them to appear in the giant map?

You only need Warhammer III installed to play factions on the giant Immortal Empires map that you unlocked by owning the other games. The other games only need to be purchased, not installed.

As noted as long as the content is in your steam account, Warhammer 3 will read that content and add it to your Warhammer 3 game.

The only thing you'd need the previous games installed for is to play their unique campaigns and mini-faction campaigns.

How about if you have Warhammer 3 through ms games pass, if you have them all installed will they recognize?

They have to be on the same distribution system. So 3 on Gamepass is not going to read 1 and 2 off steam

There is no crossplay, though CA has stated that it's their long-term goal to have it. I wouldn't hold my breath.

That's not "crossplay". Crossplay is playing with people on different "platforms", which there is partially.

I had to purchase it separately on steam, because I had one version on epic.
