trading settlements with ai
so i recently took out karaz-a-karak but my ally clan mors controls parts of dwarfs former provinces i need for armament production. they wont give up the minor settlements even if throw them 100k gold. i tried looking at the workshop but didnt find mods. anyone know one that might help?

You want a mod that makes the AI give you stuff for free?

no i mean that ai shouldnt ask 100k for a single minor settlement. they wont even trade it for 100 k and another minor settlement i would give in exchange.

Oh yeah the settlement trading mechanic IS rubbish, people dont say it because it was asked for so much and for so long so everyone is happy but I mean look at it....its rubbish

yea its ridiculous. i even have +150 relations with mors and they still wont budge no matter how much money i throw them.

Throwing money at them is not sufficient, a settlement (particularly a developed settlement) is worth a lot more than just gold. Try trading a settlement of similar value to them, you'll have far more luck. I regularly trade settlements with the AI, I just make sure I capture a settlement I can trade for the one I want.

It's crap. The AI won't trade a minor settlement I need for a major settlement it needs. It's things like that which bring the complaints.

Build a income building a armory in the settlement you want to trade against, if it has a resource, is the last settlement of area that the ai has everytrhing else off they will trade happily.
