The Northern Provinces - Sky Junk, dying to melee in AR?
How does one lose a unit of Sky Junk, which is listed as "Always Flying" and incapable of landing even when out of ammo, how does one achieve this versus an army of Ironguts, Ogre Bulls, regular melee Gnoblars and an exclusively melee Ogre Lord?

Just how? Even if I put that thing in the middle of their army with Vanguard Deployment, somehow, and I turn off freefire and make it afk, it literally cannot be hit under any circumstances unless I for some reason FF it to death.

Just manually fought it, my Sky Junk regenerated HP during the fight.

Auto resolve is a completely different game with different rules but it doesn't tell you that.

Spells and army abilities mean nothing, units can do things they're literally incapable of (like you described), speed doesn't matter (Ironbreaker stack beats Waywatcher stack in auto), armor works against armor piercing (Ironbreaker stack beats Waywatcher stack in auto), things like barriers and regen are just ignored by auto and don't exist. There's probably more I forgot about!
Well hopefully that's in the next patch! Otherwise I'm going to give the Workshop some attention...

Easy, like This:

I swear it's like people are intentionally trying to make rage threads that are just meme references.

This is fundamental Total War mechanics that have been in every single Total War and always will be because it's how the game functions. It's on the same level on fundamental function to the game as "units are composed of 1 or more entities".

There are lots of auto resolve mods but they all do it to some degree because that's how it works. It's like unit mods, they can change how many entities are in the unit but they can't change what entity means.
It does feel at times like AR does things I would never do to actively screw me, it almost forces you to manually battle most battles in your run. I'm not averse to manually battling, I've been getting good at it out of necessity at this point, but I'd really rather not spend hundreds of hours on a single campaign just because AR is being a testicle.

Probably the best they can really do is classify it as a back line unit that should normally take less damage in AR calculations (assuming it doesn't already fall under this category). Seeing as this is really a very niche situation I really doubt anyone at CA is going to pay much attention to it and altering AR to properly account for it would require fat more time and effort than its worth.

At least they warn you which units you will lose with AR now. Mostly.

They say cardio beats Chaos, but they don't tell you that human ladders beat airships.

If you want to build an auto resolve army then spam the slowest and chunkiest melee infantry you have. Give them 1 arty and like 4 missile infantry and they'll conquer the world.

Don't use mages or heroes at all and get a melee lord too. Auto resolve will drool over that army when in a real fight they could get circles run around them by any faction.
it's really funny to see my one Dreadquake Mortar in a stack of hobgoblins get something like ten thousand damage value in AR. Practically the entire enemy army. No way it has enough ammo for that unless they literally stand on top of each other.

10k dmg vs hobgobbos is very possible.
goldvalue? well the army has not enough value.

I said "in a stack of hobgoblins" not "vs a stack of hobgoblins". As in, "lord, three heroes, one dreadquake, 16 hobgoblins". It was fighting kislev and dwarf armies

Doesn't exactly matter. What would matter is your unitsize, on ultra its not even 2 units killed.
A baseline dreadquake got 15 ammo. They quakes do a lot dmg thats not listed, a square formation is basicly gone in 1 shot, so its farily easy to deal 5k+ per hit, more if lucky.

if you lower the Upkeep they might land :DD
