Is there anyone who would prefer age of sigmar over 40k?
I wouldn't get it anyway, as AoS fluff is a mess.
what is the point tho. isn't it basically the same stuff as warhammer fantasy with new names?
Don't even hate AoS, actually fair bit from it I like, especially those short horror story collections and few of new factions. But, we've just had 3 fantasy games and Dawn of War is um...yeah, so I mean, again, if I had that godlike power to just pick one or the other, be nice to have a good 40k strategy game with real time battles again, and especially with a total war style campaign reminiscent of Soul Storm's.
That being said, saw was an update to UA, and I'm pretty sure can play the base campaign with mod now, graphics are dated but closest we have for time being.
I don't think so because it has a bunch of different worlds/a multiverse connected by portals. That's fine for what AoS tabletop is doing, a bunch of random battles that don't have little to do with each other, but I don't think that works for Total War. At least in 40k you have space that can be treated like a sea with individual planets serving as provinces or the whole game can take place on a single planet without any problems, but with AoS doesn't really have that, and setting it on only one Realm would be lame. You'ed have to have a bunch of different maps to flip through and I think that'd be complicated and annoying to keep track of. It's hard enough keeping track of 1 large map with hundreds of provinces at times, imagine what would be like having to keep track of eight of them. If AoS had a lore update where the all the realms were smooshed together into a single world again, then I'd say maybe, but as it is now it wouldn't work well.
Though if they do 40k they had better do Sisters of Battle faction. I like their models alot.
unless you made like worlds settlments or reigons i think 40k would be really diffucult to do
but it has massive potentioal
As to AoS. It’s not my cup of tea. Here’s hoping we get a 40K version. If anyone can do it them CA can.
It is a shame, because they are very unique, both in 40K, and in sci-fan in general.
