The Realm of Chaos Campaign is surprisingly fun.
I have not played Warhammer 3 since before the release of the Chaos Dwarves. I recently started getting back into it with the release of the new DLC, and I am impressed with the realm of chaos campaign. I usually just play Immortal Empires, but I wanted to unlock Boris. I have tried in the past, but I never liked playing the Kislev campaign. The only time I finished the realm of chaos campaign was with the demon prince at launch, and I had a hard time going back. So anyway, I started playing with the sole purpose of unlocking Boris when I found myself really having fun. I think CA did a really good job improving the campaign. Everything just feels more stable and less frustrating, plus all the new DLC factions make the map feel more alive and interesting. So if you ever get bored, maybe try the realm of chaos campaign again; you might be surprised at how good it is right now.

I also split my time between RoC and IE, about 50/50. Base game RoC was messed up at launch and continues to have low replayability, but sometimes I just need shorter and more focused campaigns, ideally with some "story" (as best as TW can do that).

Funny, yesterday i started a Mannfred run on RoC thanks to Mixu's Unlocker mod, and despite some stuff not properly working (no nagash grimoire, bloodline buff doesn't applies...) i'm having fun

I gave it a first try when shadows of change came out as well with Ostankya. I agree its been really fresh change of pace with IE, which is what I also normally played

I haven't stopped playing ROC. I have played less than 2 hours on the I.E. map. As I said in another thread the ROC Campaign has matured into something that is a bit more fun than it was at release. I have about 300 hours into ROC alone. Pretty much all as Daniel (Daemon Prince) too. I tried Cathay and they were interesting but seemed like a clone of some elf class.

Rinse the Dark Prince's realm for money and exp.

It's worse than Vortex but better than Immortal Boredom.

RoC is the worst campaign I've ever played in a TW game, at least with the "basic" factions. Much like with TW2 the DLC races avoid the MAIN MECHANIC OF THE CAMPAIGN, and for good reason.

It’s best “small” campaign of the trilogy far as I’m concerned.

Miles more engaging than vortex, watch the meter go up, race.

RoC was awful, but to each his tastes I guess

Not even close to the worst if talking entirety of TW.
Carthage “campaign” anyone?
