IE achievements not working?

i just beat imortal empires long victory on very hard with empire and i didnt get any achievments!! whats going on?

I think they said you need Ultimate or Domination victory to get these new victory achievements.

The short and long victories are leftovers from older games, and therefore don´t count for something except for Your own goals. But i was easier to let them in the game, so people may get confused, when trying to get some achievement with the wrong starting settings. Kind of surprise mechanic. People like that.

so how do you get the achivements then??

Ultimate Victory comes from overcoming the Endgame Crisis. Conditions for "overcoming" varies by which crisis pops.

Took me about 120 turns to achieve ultimate victory with the Empire, but that was before the patch so I might have to do it again for the achievement. But I'll probably hold off playing the Empire again until they get a rework this winter. Trying to stay at positive imperial authority with only 3 provinces remaining to confederate was a nightmare.

Technically you get bonuses from completing the short and long ones.

Already done long victory by turn 80 something as skaven... no achv, just waiting for the crisis now and praying i dont need to do a domination victory

problem is that i didnt put crisis scenario on the options... so all i can do i wolrd domination...ugh! that sucks..

anyways i tried with an old save and it worked but i got only for normal victory not very hard.... any clues? i had switched to very hard diff before i win

I always assumed it only counted the lowest difficulty you set it at if you kept changing.
