Will this game ever get support for these technologies?

In this type of game there is no need to have 100+ fps, so why do you need DLSS/FSR?
Kinja 30 AGO 2023 a las 8:09
The game doesn't even properly support DX 12, it's literally been in beta since the first Total War Warhammer. You think they're gonna add DLSS/FSR?
Dr.Bones 30 AGO 2023 a las 8:20
There are clues they have the foundations for dlss prepared since the release of warhammer 3, some lines in the script file of the game indicate this. Doubt they will put the effort honestly but one can dream

Wh3 at least scales good on future hardware.

I get 120 fps in large battles while in wh2 it would drop to below 40 in same circumstances.

It means wh3 it scales good and be relevant as hardware get upgraded

Not by CA. But AMD is working on Fsr3 that suppouse to work without integration to the game so..

I believe FSR is compatible with DirectX 11, although I'm not sure how DX11 vs DX12 affects integration time.

What resolution do you play at? I have it locked at 60 and still get some drops (LOD removal mods have a big impact)

1440p.

Yes lod removal has a huge impact on performance especially in large battles

I'm playing in 3840x2160. And looks like my gpu is the reason of global warming. Would be great to have some dlss to reduce the heating

Of course...assuming you mean "Full Settra Rizz"...if not, I would like to apologize in advance for my dirty-mindedness in wanting to be rizzed up by the Nehekaran swag lord himself.

funny fact, even skyrim have DLSS upscale technology....
that's a engine made 13 years ago

it said enough about CA how they think about customers.

It would be nice given the quality of the antialiasing that there is implemented right now xD

DLSS and FSR 2.0 often times gives better visual fidelity than the AA options of the games FXAA or TXA options.
That being said, I have to suspect its because of the massive problems they are having with the engine and its development. With the leaks coming out about their constant struggles, its not too surprising that they haven't been able to implement that.

DLSS won't do a great deal for a game with such a massive CPU overhead, most of the frame drops in Total War games are due to the GPU waiting on the CPU. Also due to said overhead FSR will likely make those stutters worse because it's software based and eats a lot of CPU cycles.
