3.1 came out May 25th
We have a road map for this year and next.
They just did an interview with a website where they flat out said they have years of content planned.
Would you like daily status reports on dev activities to feel better?
No clowns for you from me
Where are the hotfixes for the bugs they made when the last dlc was released white knights? No info on that just tumble weeds blowing around , so don't be an ass. I can see how people would feel that way.
CA is dropping the ball big time...
I demand hourly reports directly addressed to me. I want to know what they are doing, what they are eating, how many hours they are sleeping, every single detail about everything. If I don't get my report, I'll have no other option but to declare that this game is an abandonware.
Seriously, though. Idk why people love to use hyperbole so much. People will take you a lot more seriously if you stick to the facts. Patch 3.1 had too many issues, this is happening too often, there's no word on a hotfix yet, and there's a sense that CA doesn't have enough people to give the kind of support this game requires. However, they are about to announce the second of three DLCs that we are getting this year; they are updating at least 3 races (Tzeentch, Cathay and Kislev) now, and at least another 3 by the end of the year (Nurgle, Empire and Dwarfs); they are improving settlement battles, adding IE achievements on patch 4.0, and improving the AI - player bias, specifically, as they teased some time ago - so, is this an abandonware? No. Does it have issues that CA needs to address ASAP, and that we should keep calling them out on it? Absolutely. Is OP being dramatic by calling it abandonware? Yes, a lot.
A couple things, 3k dev ended after they talked about a specific DLC and was preceded by a long period without a patch with a mountain of outstanding bugs. The roadmap will take us through about 2 years, maybe plus a couple months. 3K ended development at the 2 year mark. Maybe 2.5?
Also, As far as I know, it sold more copies than WH3.
In fact i would go as far as to claim that taking their time with fixing bugs/crashes has always been a hallmark of TW-Games.
Sure but 3 Kingdoms ended because no one was buying dlc whereas warhammer dlc is gobbled up like hot cakes.
May 25th we got a patch + Harald.
You'll survive not getting a patch every week, sheesh.
WH3 =/= 3K
They're two completely different projects, and what happened to 3K (They cancelled future DLCs in favor of a sequel) can't happen to WH3. There's no WH4 coming. Either CA capitalize on IE now or this is it, they lost their opportunity. Comparing both games to argue that WH3 might be abandoned makes zero sense. As long as WH3 DLCs are still selling enough to justify its cost, they won't drop it that easily.
