The intervention of SEGA
When CA publicly updates their list of known issues numerous times without fixing them it seems to me they are putting on a show for corporate. A play to show to SEGA, at a corporate glance, that they are working on their games.
The fan base and players know at this point that CA disregards the community to the point of recklessness and seems to dismiss valid critiques as if they were irrelevant to the sale of future products.
Upon the arrival of update 3.1 CA posted patch notes which stated several issues were fixed in the patch which hadn't been. Several members of the community attributed this to poor testing prior to release. I do not believe this was case in these particular instances.
I think the issues were left unaddressed intentionally but that the writing in the patch notes was meant to be glanced at by a review of corporate moderators that do not themselves play the game. Obviously the players would know right away that Ariel couldn't spawn for example.
What I'm proposing is that the solution to the community's concerns is not to keep pleading with CA to hear the fanbase outcry, but to bring to SEGA's attention CA's behavior and the potential negative affect to future sales

There were a couple informative responses to my post and my opinion has changed somewhat.

However let me just reiterate why I'm iritated.

1) Time-frame - I get that's there's complications with bugs/patches/code but there have been unresolved issues 1 year plus. To me that's a suspiciously long time

2) Half- measures - like I said in a previous post they acknowledge problems, but don't fix them. Also they seem to rely on modders to do their job at this point.

3) Pharaoh -I know there are people interested in this game but I gotta think most of the Total War fanbase either wants focus on WH3 or the drop of a true historical title like Med3 or Empire 2 You go on Twitter and they are hyping this game to death and not even mentioning shadows of change which releases in a month or 2. Pharaoh is Oct.

I genuinely like WH3. Loved WH2. Again - my opinion- but there is a disconnect between CA and the fanbase that does make me question how they handle things

1) i totally get you, and i also think there are some issues that have been in for way too long.
a reason could be that there are other more pressing matters? thats just a guess, since we dont know how exactly they prioritize different stuf.
for example, a bug that crashes the game is more important to fix than some graphical issues.

2) could also apply to the first thing i said, they know its there, but there is simply too much to work on to fix it all, so they have to pick and choose what to fix.

3) CA is a MASSIVE company, who also have/are making a whole new studio hiring around 100 more people.
companies that large can work on multiple projects at the same time without sacrifice on others.
for example, Pharaoh is not even made by the same studio as TWWH, it's CA sofia that makes that game. so that game have no influence at all over work done for TWWH

I've heard from some very reliable sources that SEGA is actually pretty angry about this whole situation and is probably going to make an announcement regarding CA pretty soon.

"The Future of Creative Assembly" video incoming. Klax's source never lets us down for entertainment.
