Devs Need to Split Teams like.....
Alright, before I start explaining this, I ask you read all the way through.

The Devs should create a secondary team to continue updating, fixing, revamping older content, and have their initial team focusing on new content.

The Devs of Stellaris have done this, they essentially have a team they call the Custodian Team, which is all about bugfixes, making older/outdated factions and mechanics up to date, adding stuff to older DLCs and making them more worthwhile, etc. They work in Tandem with the lead development team which is focused on adding in the new, updated stuff.

Each DLC brings a host of new units and lords and what not, and often times they end up being busted or more spectacularly fun then other factions who have been ruminating for literal years. By having a Custodian Team to tidy things up on the backend of the game, then their primary team can keep working on making new stuff to add in and potentially giving us MORE content for our money.

You want to upcharge us on the DLC costs, then make it worth our while. Spend that extra dosh on putting together a custodian team that will clean up the messes you guys create and leave unattended. This also means we'd get twice as many updates and content patches. One for new stuff and one for old stuff!

It's all hands on deck on Hyenas. There are no devs to spare on WH3. It took the current skeleton crew 4+ months to fix the kroxigors.

Well surely they have the extra money to spend now to hire more people with the overpriced DLC they put out.. then again.. prolly not cause most people will end up passing on it cause its overpriced for what you get...

It's kind of pitiful, really.
Genuinely pitiful. They are really in denial and think that Hyenas is going to be a hit.

I honestly cannot fathom someone not being fired for sabotaging the company this way.

If we split the devs, how much time and investment to develop the new total war engine with unreal engine?

Good idea, if they increase prices, they may as well increase quality and quantity in continued support. Not that I'm complaining, I'll buy the DLC anyways because of Juan Bo. On second thought though I imagine it being pretty difficult for both teams to correctly coordinate with each other and with how long the community bug fix mod has been around, I'm certain it'd create more issues than it solves. Correct me if I'm wrong, it's just my first unqualified thought process^^

Your problem is you're thinking like a game developer. CA is not a game developer.

Going off the sega swag in that game/it essentially serving as a marketing/branding vehicle for sega in game form, get strangest feeling CA was given an ultimatum on its creation and this goes above even their execs.

Just my musings of course.

“Oh guys are working on a looter shooter? Cool, ya sounds good but we have some ideas for it too”

CA are making some sort of battle-royale fps (I don't know the specific genre idgaf). Honestly it looks like if you asked AI to make a parody of a MoDeRn GaMe.

Stellaris does this though. They have a Custodian team and they work in tandem with the future content team. Often times a new DLC release comes with a slew of updates from the custodian team, but other than that the custodian team speckles in a few updates between DLC releases.

That hurts.. because it's true x.x Then again most 'game developers' nowadays aren't really game developers... sad times we live in.

If that is the case, screw Sega, but if CA had more leeway or opportunity to focus its development on its current flagship game, then screw CA for screwing over its devoted playerbase lol.

Yeah, found out about that. It's waaaaay too late to put that out and it looks pretty.. bad. Like it doesn't even look fun. It feels like the definition of a hyper millennial trying to be edgy and cool and full of cultural references... It's just.. lame.
