Loremaster of Sotek doesn't want to support the new DLC - Neverseen before

Loremaster of Sotek is a great and popular youtuber which makes very good content about Warhammer lore and Total War Warhammer 3.

He has always been extremely positive towards Total War and The Creative Assembly, supporting all the content and genuinely hyping every DLC release with almost only optimism, especially compared with other content creators that have been generally more critical.

However, he is pretty disappointed with this DLC and its price to the point he clearly states he doesn't want to support it because it is too expensive even for him.

He call it "outrageous and embarassing".

I have never seen him being so disappointed!

I am very sorry that those business decisions broke even the most positive content creator and one of the biggest CA supporter. His last video was pretty bitter to see.

He recommend the community to put pressure on CA and SEGA on the social medias, in a respectful manner of course.

This is of course a pointless argument, but just to set the record straight, Sotek directly says that if it wasn't for the price, his complaints would be minor

Man I was REALLY hoping the gameplay reveal would get me to hop off the fence and buy.

But it's horrible. There's really minimal work done here, almost as if CA's trying to sabotage 3 so they can move on to something else.

And aside from Sotek, another huge WH nerd, Book of Grudges, was disquieted and surprised at the paltry length and showing of the vid. Oh, he's still simping hard, but you can tell that he's really working to keep the dream alive.

For Changeling's campaign to pull the player in, since he can't take cities and just hobos around the map, it really, really requires a stunning UI and mind blowing mechanics. So far it looks like you're just dragging your little blue guy in his bathrobe around the map and collecting lords.

Really disappointed.

The issue really is that there is a consumer shock when the price jumps 25% in one go rather than of years of gradual increases. The rise of CAs content prices over the years is nowhere near the 350% rise in gas prices I experienced during my time living in the States. And you sure as ♥♥♥♥ could bet that I didn't experience sales or held off till Christmas to buy gas and food.

Well blame the child-sniffer for the gas prices. His policy acts as president directly targeted the oil industry and we went from self-sufficient and a net exporter to having to import 10% of our oil consumption.

I haven't lived in the States for well over 10 years.

And to Maziky, what just happened is really telling of the content of your topics and that you don't desire discussion that is opposed to bias.

If it were a twwh40k game you could actually get away with charging these prices, it would require alot of creative reassembly of the game to make it work though, but i still strongly believe total war to be the base game to nail a proper 40k strategy game.

Well yes, I think this'll be a first for quite a few peoples.
I've been pre ordering DLCs and new TW WH games since like 2016 without missing one, even bought the first game for my best friend back then ; but I won't be buyingthis one any time soon either, as I cannot see any reason to buy that one. Content itself looks of pretty high quality, but the price and the amount of content ratio is just way too unbalanced.

It's an odd situation to be in that people either try to skew someone's words to their own narrative or try to gaslight through exaggeration or conflation. The youtuber's actual voiced complaints were about the pricing. He didn't link that to anything else so people conflating that gripe outside of its conceptual borders is oddly laughable. Everything else he said about lack of characters was a footnote in comparison. It doesn't take someone with too high intelligence to see that. But then again, the intelligence levels of those who try to say otherwise has already been proven in the past to the point some of them probably need a guardian to accompany them to the supermarket or outside of their house in general.
