Disciples of Hashut "NUKE" is supposed to be this powerful?
Just came back and to be honest here I am not expecting this at all.

I mean do you ever fight some enemy that can make you lose before the troop even contact with them? That is the firepower I am talking about. He "nukes" the s*** out of my army, and when I say nuke I mean it. Half of my army got obliterated in 10 seconds.

I can easily win them by "auto solving" but if I dare to fight them by myself, well... it is so bad. Is this normal now in this game?

so, the chaos dwarf mortar bombardment is from one of their major settlement defense buildings. the basic version is only in the province the building is put up in, the upgraded one is also the adjacent provinces.
It telegraphs its location very far in advance and is limited uses per fight. The counterplay is to keep your guys spread out, and keep an eye out for the targeting indicator (it happens at about 45 seconds into the fight). Move the targeted units out of the way.
Definitely don't bunch up, you shouldn't be getting more than one of your units hit by it (and that one should be trying to dodge). Bunching your guys up on top of each other causes all sorts of other problems and is just a bad thing to do in general.

but yeah, the area damage is enough to delete any infantry model hit by it. and it's not like area damage is divided by the number of targets. if you get half your infantry hit by it, all those units are going to die. It's telegraphed like ten seconds in advance or more, something crazy. You can prevent it from getting direct hits, and are expected to do so. It's a RTS, micro your units.

Hello, thank you.

I think this mortar is not much of a threat since I already spot a pattern to avoid being hit, or simply use a flying unit to diverse its attention. But I don't know what another one that bombarded down from another source. 3-5 hits I can't remember. When the fight happens it does not care, it will just hit my guys as their guys and we all go to hell. That is the point that makes this post.

I mean I love systematic battle, losing 0 is my every battle goal, sometimes it is 10+- it is okay. I can lose haft if the enemy outnumbers me 3 to 1, that's fine. But lost haft because of one big boom, never nice about it.

If you play only single entity you won't lose units to this rocket

LOL, That's obvious, isn't it? Thank.

Playing as an elf and raining a dragon down on it is so simple. Playing as Cathayians ... well that's a bit harder.

I share this mentality, I do not like using unit's and will strive to keep casualties to a minimum. But this is a war simulation game. You will incur losses. You will lose unit's. It's a mentality you have to get passed to be really good at a game like this.

There are many unit's and abilities that will incur losses on you.

Hi, well I will send people to die for my crossbow/gunner to get a better trade on PVP tho. But PVE that different story. Just confusing a little bit, imagine you came back then you find out this game got a nuke now.

Well, it's not really a nuke. It's a mortar.

Skaven have the warpbomb ability which is just as damaging. Coincidentally also tied to there garrison building. They've had it since launch of game 2.

The actual nuke is in the hands of the Ikitt Claw Ai. Who will use a real nuclear bomb attack against the player.

Can't be sure anymore since I eliminated them 10 minutes ago. The mortar or whatever it is, I will try it myself after this anyways.

But... really? There is more of this kind of thing? and also not a one-time use?

ikkit is a one time use per battle but he must build them before hand in the campaign, its a consumable.
Chaos dwarf? nah its like a garnison building they have on their black tower its unlimited use a long as you have this building and the fight is in you province.(mabye at tier 4 its alos adjacent province but Im not sure)

it is set charges per fight, so not "unlimited" use, but it's not like ikit that has to build more nukes.

You're acting as if they get that ability in every single army and in every single province.. It's not that bad.
