some battles are very dark
Hello,
some real-time battles are very dark for me, battles that take place in the shadows of mountains or caves. Even if you turn up the brightness, it's still too dark. And as soon as there are places with light, it's too bright.
Have tried two monitors and is the same, only with this game. I turned off HDR and turned it on, makes no difference.
Can this be fixed?

I use reshade as it allows for complete control over a great many things, including brightness. You can make it as dark as you like, as bright as you like, add film grain, add lens flares... The options are incredible and will completely change your game for the better.

Is that second screeny from ingame using reshade?? Is it resource intensive? I remember using Gem way back was a lot of fun.

@ O.P.

I had this same situation via a mod I since unsubscribed from. You sure you are mod free...?
I'd disable mods before playing with settings if so.

Experimenting with shadows/ shaders myself right now.

Yes I don't play any games now without reshade if I can help it, and I started using it when I was still rocking a 1080. I'm using a 3060 now but when using the 1080 there was a negligible impact on framerates (depending on filters used)

Hello there! While we do our best to balance the brightness in battles, we do see feedback like this sometimes - thanks for raising it. If you can specify the following I can log this for you:
Build Number (this can be found in the top right hand corner of the menu screen)
Detailed description of your issue
