My new rig. Every other TW title is running fine.
Campaign benchmark file ran, obviously.
Thanks
Limit frames per second in GPU to something you find comfortable
Go to…
C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer3\scripts
Create a text file and add the two lines below.
HYBRID_CPUS_TREAT_ALL_CORES_UNIFORMLY true;
number_of_threads 5;
Now save as user.script. with extension txt
Stuttering and campaign map issues should be resolved.
Wow! ok will give this a go.
Fans go crazy on campaign map that's for sure.
Edit:
Thanks for suggestion. Unfortunately, difference is not noticeable : (
You can turn shadows off completely, they take a lot of processing power for your GPU. If you have lighting on, turn that off as well.
You should be able to increase unit size to ultra if you want.
Campaign map uses more of CPU than GPU especially to calculate movement. You can see this if you have a lord or hero with a large movement range. Just clicking on the unit and having the CPU have to calculate the movement zone can cause your game to hitch or at the very least you'll see a spike in CPU utilization if youre monitoring it.
With that said, maybe try changing those settings and taking note of CPU/GPU usage. You can use MSI afterburner or w/e other software you want.
Yeah, TW ever CPU intensive.
Great advice, will keep experimenting : )
Oh, and using keys in campaign and battle seems to have no lag but mouse still does/
Using logitech hero at 2400 dpi I think. Maybe that is an issue with game?
Yeah I would experiment with different DPIs and see if that resolves the issue.
Other info related to performance:
16gb ram (Heh, changing that soon)
'Pagefile size 24gb
Running on SSD
2400 dpi ~ 1800 dpi
There are 4 related settings in graphics settings to do with shadows, interesting : F
Got 10 extra fps with Nvidia control panel > 3d management:
Power management mpde - Prefer maximum performance,
That's all I care to do for now. Will experiment with mouse settings and just get used to using WASD for campaign map (for the meantime until fixed...).
Thanks again.
Nothing useful there then...
Sorry to read that... I was sure this was going to help you.
Can you add my post ot thsoe Q&A / solutions etc if oyu got a topic / post whatever on your site about that?
(post 20 i believe it was)

Still experimenting with this actually, thanks. Some say it reduces heat at least in other threads so, yeah, why not. I'll start taking some screens of heat from CPU and GPU when enabled and see.
Found these links also so gonna tinker for a bit and see what I can do. My main aim is to get decent performance on campaign map, battles seem ok at large unit scale.

I really like the Reddit post. They should sticky that somewhere here...
