Do Dark elves suck?
I feel the mechanics should be more like chaos dwarves and tankier units maybe? idk not my fave faction but one of them. first warhammer i painted was a vintage Druchii army. I play with mods mostly but with or without dark elf mods, they kinda suck it feels like

They are glass cannons. Don't play them like dwarves.

Think like that battle scene in GoT where The Mountain almost dies. Imagine The Mountain is only 5' tall but still as wide. Pretty accurate showcase of the capabilities of "stereotypical" elves and dwarves.

Some drow do use heavy armor, but they still aren't the armored meat slabs that dwarven heavy infantry are.

Why would an elf faction play like a Dwarf faction? Elves are nimble, mobile, and squishy. Dwarfs are slow, and sturdy.

You need to adjust your play. Dark Elves are very strong on the battlefield.

Dark Elfs are all about offensive. Kill or be killed.

Dwarfs are about outlasting your opponent.

Dark Elves used to have the Chaos Dwarfs mechanic. Then they removed it from DE and sold it back to us with Chaos Dwarfs and left DE with a bad placeholder system.

Did they remove the slave mechanic, then readded it to Dark Elves? (I never play them so I wouldn't know)

All I can recall is that they changed the functionality. Then balanced it out.

He's literally not tho the mechanic the old dark elf slave mechanics are not the same as chaos dwarves slave mechanics now. Where's the Chaos Dwarves making millions of gold a turn late game thanks to slaves

O that's right. They aren't cause the mechanics aren't the same
