Can you tell the difference btw 30FPS 60FPS 144FPS?
... I am starring at the battle benchmark running in loop while I capped the framerate with MSI Afterburner/RTSS @ 30-60-144FPS and imagine seeing the Ice Queen casting pink unicorns after 30 minutes, losing my mind.

Can anyone from their multiplayer experience convince me to not run the game in 30FPS@33.3ms?

Are the animations looking 'smoother' with more frames? Am I just not seeing it anymore? To my - very old eyes - the TW engine animation system seems 'optimized' @ 30FPS.

I am not asking you to indulge yourself in yet another '60FPS' rap battle. I am just asking, if any of you, who played the game many more hours than I ever did, do 'feel' a difference with higher frames. Smother gameplay. Higher responsiveness. Sensual. Non-technical. Experiences.

That's all it takes to convince me.

I do play competitive RTS games and used to play Quake 3, UT, etc. I know about the 'tick-rate in Street Fighter and CSGO or the (huge) difference btw framerates when playing racing games or sims which are build around 60FPS (or more). I just don't see it in 'Action Adventure titles, or turn-based games ... and atm also not in TW battles.

30FPS saves me like 100-200 Watts per frame and keeps my PCs @ 30 deg Celsius cool. But, I would switch, if I can follow your reasoning why.

If YOU don't feel a difference beetween 30 and 60 FPS then play at 30
But yes, I can see the difference beetween 30 and 60

Yes, to some extent for the most part in other games that generally run better/faster for the same specs and preset than this one does.

But that said, not so much in this game... where zooming close up in to the action during a battle might make any fps difference or graphics setting more noticeable or rewarding but also means you miss that enemy charge into your flank that loses you said battle.
Imo fps is simply far greater a deal in certain games/genres that... aren't this one.

Then again, maybe I'm just one of the poors or blind, as some might argue (well, poor yes but could afford the specs I have that still place me clear in the top 10% of PC gamers and not too blind, my eyesight has declined since hitting my 40's but still around 20/20... both of which I am, under the circumstances, grateful for)

Tbf though I have played both all Warhammers and a couple of other TW's (and many other games besides) at anywhere between 30 and 144 fps, medium to ultra settings, 1080p to 4K and 7" to 55" screens... and still enjoyed the experience all the same.
Truth is, when it comes down to it, I'm just glad and fortunate to having something decent to play on at all. No pity party but I had it way, way worse for a lot of my adult life.
But even after the worst times it also took me a while to learn to take the opinion of others with a pinch of salt too.

Honestly, end of the day, if it suits you and your preference/needs just do it and have fun, dude. I mean, that's what you came this far for, right?

30 and 60 is heaven and hell. but if you show me 60 vs 105 i don't really see a difference. At a certain point more fps becomes worthless but if you are rocking 30-40 fps, you will see some struggles in most games. v.v but this might also be because your device cant handle the game...which is why it's at 40 fps.

but i digress

I cant really think of a time where I can honestly say I've noticed fps differences above 40-50, esspecially in multiplayer games.

30 vs 60 is a huge difference.

however, If I'm not mistaken, most people can't see much faster than 60fps, so the improvements are still there, but our eyes have trouble detecting them.

That info could be out of date though

Definitely will enhance your game experience at higher FPS, and will definitely ruin it at low FPS. Find a good middle ground for your specs and enjoy.

OP,
I think your question is better suited to align with people who build 'theater rooms' for their movie experience. With the projection screen, chairs, popcorn, movie posters, etc,

Each detail above adds to the overall experience and enhances it. I think that's the answer you're looking for, the higher FPS will force the smooth fluid game play you're looking for, at a movie theater experience level. As long as your system can handle it, it will provide a better overall experience

It actually depends on the individual who is looking at it, most people claimed to be able to feel the difference between 30/60 fps , but in my personal experience i only notice any difference if it goes down to 25 fps, then its too slow and unplayable. To be honest here , i never noticed any difference between 30 to 40 , 60 it is a bit more fluid when i turn around in fp but not all that much , well i guess i just cant see it , So as for me personally its all a gimmick really.
Yes, it depends a lot on the game too tho but I can notice it in all games still.
It's not going to be as noticeable in Warhammer as it will be in a FPS tho.

for the sake of my GPU temps, I locked the game to a nice and even 36 FPS

30 -60 big difference, you may notice 60-120 as well, but its smaller increases like 120-144 you may not notice. 60 should be base industry standard, 30 isnt quite AAA quality.

I believe you can adjust to any over time to point where it feels "normal", but if you've been playing at 60 and go down to 30, that is noticeable af. Just feels and looks sluggish and laggy even.

Anything above 60 though, I can't really tell much of a diff tbh but it's same shift regardless when drop drastically from one to another I'd imagine.
I feel like I can definitely tell the difference between 30 and 60fps. Anything above that I'm not sure, my monitor is only 60hz so I'm stuck there for now.
In a game like this, I suppose that 30 fps difference wouldn't make a huge difference, it would be preference. If this were something more fast-paced like a shooter or something though, I'd for sure take the higher framerates.

The thing that I have noticed with anything higher than 60 would be measured more easily through variable speed that contrast another animation and/or has more fluid moving parts, if it is sustained.

The only thing I notice in this game with higher frames is just less stuttering, really. Maintaining 60 is all a person really needs in this game.

I knew someone that had a drill spinning at the same rate as the light bulb that was rapidly blinking in a workshop, and he couldn't tell if the drill was on, due to other backround noises present, he then grabbed it, and tore his hand up.

I can see a difference up into the 90's and feel it until the late 120's, that being said, 30 is more than enough for a game like this so if you are okay with a 30fps cap then go for it. keep in mind that this is a strategy game, what is most important framerate wise is stability not how high you can possibly push it, if you can keep it stable at 30, 60 or 144 then all of those options are perfectly fine and come down to whether you like watching the AI models fight smoothly or not.
