It just goes to show that greenskins cannot escape the comedy.
Yeah even their combat is kinda funny, at least Goblin Doom divers in the main faction; Flinging off the slingshot with a pointy hat, then (sadly) splat into the biggest monster. They dont care how it gets done, as long as it wuz a good bashin'!
Gorduz will make them extraordinarily effective, and you can go further with the Mongol roleplay by pretending Chorfs are your foreign auxiliary forces. The Mongols did use a decent amount of artillery after conquering China, too.
Woodelves or Darkelves, probably woodis.
Bertram and the Survivors of Bergerac. Herrimault Chaussers are good multipurpose horse archer unit - given that they're a tier 3 or 4 unit, they need to be.
Be warned, though.. it'll take awhile before you can use them en masse.
Why this combination? High Elf skirmish cavalry is fast. Faster then almost anything in the game. And with Eltharion they will get a buff that regenerates their ammo slowly.
The Hobgoblins are pretty much the Warhammer equivalent of the Mongols, but they are not a flesh out faction and more of a foot note that they exist.
