spell Direction

I am playing as Belthesar Gelt and using the spell with the golden wolves or dogs (cant remember the same of if). How do i know or control the direction of the spell?

It's a vortex spell, and vortexes move at random. That said, I've heard people claim that if you drag your cursor as you're placing it, the vortex will initially move in the direction of your cursor.

U can't. And what Naram-Sin said is or rather was right, it was patched out at the end of game 2 life. So if vortex does not stand still (some do) it'll move at random.

Ok... Thanks. I love the spell but it has "bitten me" a couple times.

I've heard that it was the case with the sword of Kaine in warhammer 2

best is to let the enemy blob up around a Hero or lord or SEM and then throw the vortex
