The Kislev Tech Tree

Something that has always confused me a little bit is why the different Kislev tech trees are named after their major cities. You don't need those cities to unlock the tech trees, nor does securing those cities improve the research rate of their corresponding techs. Not that I'm complaining, the Kislev tech tree is already threadbare as it is without significant portions of it being locked away behind owning certain cities. It just makes me wonder what they were going for.

yeah idk their tech tree isn't that great, i just grab the casualty replenishment rate, kossar stat buffs and ice court upgrades
imagine trying to play Boris without being able to use ice court until you own one of the three major cities lol

You do need the cities for the later tech's in the tree (either direct control or military alliance with the owner).

I think dev want you to unite kislev,,,,but to me its just a pain in the ass, I rather have katarin and boris as allies rather than babysitting the south, I rather go exterminate demons in the north as Kostaltyn...
